Description:	WHO Anissa Vega WHAT WHAT LEADERS SHOULD KNOW: The Very Real Virtual Lives of Students and Teachers DATES/TIME March 23 AND 30 -- Two-Day Workshop 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. WHERE Computer Lab, College of Education, Georgia State University, 30 Pryor Street SE, Atlanta, GA 30303 PRESENTER Anissa Vega, Principals Center's Graduate Assistant and Doctoral Candidate, Instructional Technology, GSU TOPIC Leaders who are aware of the social networking tools students, teachers and parents use beyond the classroom will gain valuable insight into school culture, student needs and the opportunities for preventive action. Participants will learn about these tools and discuss their impact on a school’s learning environment and the Working together, participants will discuss guidelines for student and teacher use of these technologies: Facebook * Myspace * Neo Pets * Webkinz * Blogging * Tweeting * Foursquare NOTE: There will be time between the two workshop days to engage in the "virtual world" in practice for second day. Learners will be linked for networking and more practice.
